This post is supplementary to my Black Friday article. In addition to the already mentioned sites for sales circulars, I found another good place to find these “insider” advertisements.

Blackfridayads.com - Pretty much the deals and circulars in all three mentioned sites are the same. But, there is a small possibility of little discrepancies of what one might want to be aware. Generally, I like to stick with Black Friday 2005 - The OFFICIAL Site for the Hottest Day of the Year since it is the first one and the most popular.

Still, it is good to know that there are other auxiliary “mirror” sites in case of Black Friday 2005 getting sluggish. I can personally relate to that from last year! I lot of people were planning their shopping the night before and Black Friday 2004 was as slow as molasses! These mirror sites may also be helpful if companies threaten to sue if the advertisements are not taken down. Unfortunately, this already happened with Sears. They forced Black Friday 2005 to take off their circular.

Also check out Top 10 Tips for a Successful Black Friday. They have some really helpful tips in conjunction with the ones I’ve already brought up in my first Black Friday article. The tip that I like the most is tip number eight:

8. Be aware of your store’s price matching policy. Many stores will honor the sale price if you bought the item a couple days before. You can simply purchase your items in advance and then simple show up to the customer service area and request a price match…it’s that simple.

I may try that one this year. Comment if you have any tips to share and remember to start planning early for this momentus sale!

  1. Black Friday Part III: ANOTHER Thanksgiving Sale Tip | The Information Bank Says:

[…] I was checking my email yesterday and I received a message from CompUSA, telling me about a before Thanksgiving Day sale. I feel so stupid not to mention this in my previous two articles, More Day-after-Thanksgiving Sale Tips and Black Friday: The Biggest Sale of the Year on the Day after Thanksgiving. In addition to the after Thanksgiving Day sale, there are some stores that do a before Thanksgiving Day sale and a Thanksgiving Day sale. Though the after Thanksgiving Day sale is more popular, with better deals, it is still good to look at the previous sales. You can find these at the same places mentioned in my previous two articles on these sales plus in your mailbox and newspaper. Hope this is not too late! […]

  2. Black Friday Part V: My Personal 2005 Experience | The Information Bank Says:

[…] With all of my tips, rants, and raves of black friday spaning a multitide of articles (Part I, Part II, Part III, Part IV, and this one), I thought that I should write about my black Friday experience this 2005 Thanksgiving holiday. ch_client = ‘artbarizo’; ch_width = 468; ch_height = 60; ch_color_title = ‘000000′; ch_default_tab = ‘Best Deals’; ch_non_contextual = 1; Free Laptop or Desktop Computer - Just sign up for one no-obligation offer and refer ten friends! Paper Ads You could say that it started Wednesday, the day before Thanksgiving, when I started to seriously pour though the ads (the leaked advertisements on Black Friday 2005 mind you). Man! It was a struggle to get though them! Let me tell you, it is much easier to get through the Thanksgiving ads on paper then on the computer. Buy a newspaper everyday on Thanksgiving week to make sure you get every advertisement. Trust me, it will be worth it. […]
